The 10 BEST Non-Alcoholic Tea Mocktail Recipes You Need In Your Life This Dry January!

*This post may contain Amazon or other affiliate links

Mocktails are in...and for a good reason! They are healthier for your body and your brain and taste absolutely delicious. If you're looking for a non-alcoholic replacement for a party or social activity, or if you're looking to have something to do instead of drinking at night, give these delicious mocktail recipes a shot (pun intended)! They're fun to make and give you a fantastic healthy alternative to drinking alcohol this Dry January.

How do you get mocktails to actually taste like alcohol? Because of the astringent nature of super-brewed tea, tea mocktails can actually taste like alcohol. Along with the kick from ingredients like ginger and citrus, you'll hardly be able to tell the difference in the Citrusy Spicy Ginger Mint Spritzer and the Spicy Citrus Fizz recipes. If you're looking for a fruity cocktail replacement, you're also in the right place! Most of our recipes are loaded with fruit for extra bonus antioxidants and sweet flavor.

Here are 10 of my favorites. I hope you love them!

Lush Lavender Sparkling Apple Mocktail

lavender mocktail recipe

This one is easy, but so awesome. It's made with calming herbs and botanicals that reduce feelings of anxiety. If you ever drink alcohol to calm your nerves, this is a great alternative!

Ingredients For The Lavender Mocktail

  • 1.5 teaspoons Lush Lavender (You can use another lavender tea but prepare for different results!  This one really is the best.)
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 very small apple
  • Sparkling water of choice (I used lemon)
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon honey

How To Make The Delicious Lavender Mocktail

  1. Add your Lush Lavender to the hot water and let it steep for 10 minutes. Add the honey here if you choose to use it, and give it a nice little stir.
  2. While it’s brewing, chop a small apple into tiny pieces.
  3. Finally, assemble! Grab your favorite mocktail glass. Add your apple to the glass and then a handful of ice. Pour over your strained, brewed tea. Finally, top it off with your favorite sparkling water! I chose lemon, which also changes the tea to a richer purple color.

Enjoy!

How To Make This Citrusy Spicy Ginger Spritzer

1) First, brew your Inflammation Relief TeaWhichever method you use, our general recommendation is 1 teaspoon of tea to 1 cup water. You can use any of these methods to brew your iced tea, but I decided to use the quick and dirty method using my favorite brewer.

If you want to use the quick and dirty method, add 1 heaping teaspoon of the tea into 1 cup of hot water for 5 minutes, strain and add in ice to cool.

If you decide to use the cold brew method, add 1 heaping teaspoon Inflammation Relief tea to your teapot with strainer lid and cover with 1 cup of water. Place the fridge for at least 2 hours.

2) Next, add your limes, mint and ginger to a large glass jar (with a lid). Muddle them all until nice and smooshed! This is also where you should add your sweetener, if you choose to use it. Muddling will help release all these awesome flavors and nutrients. The aroma will blow you away!

3) Finally, add ice and your brewed tea on top of your muddled fruits, close the lid and give it a nice shake. Top with sparkling water!

You can drink it straight from the jar or you can strain and pour into a short glass, which is what I decided to do. This will make about 2 portions, so share it with a friend!

Chai Spiced Cranberry Cider

chai spiced cider mocktail recipe, non-alcoholic cider with apples and cinnamon

Every time I make this recipe, it disappears faster than you can say “ho-ho-ho,” so I thought you might like to try it too! Try bringing this spicy cider to your next holiday party, or make it for your family. It is caffeine-free and safe for the whole crew.

Ingredients In This Chai Spiced Non-Alcoholic Cider

Feel free to add your own favorite ingredients. You can add orange sections, pomegranate seeds, pear slices, a small sprig of rosemary, or a tiny pinch of cayenne. Make it your own!

How To Make The Non-Alcoholic Spiced Cider

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a stainless steel saucepan. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer everything together on a low heat for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Adjust based on your likings: taste it! Make sure it’s the right level of tartness and sweetness. You can add a touch of maple syrup if it’s too tart, or more cranberries if you think it needs a little bit more bite. (If you do add more cranberries, crush them a little before adding them to the pot; cover and simmer for another 5 minutes.)
  3. Strain out the berries and spices out by pouring the tea through a handheld strainer into a punch bowl or into a heat-safe strainer pitcher.
  4. Pour or ladle your cider into a glass mug and enjoy!

Ingredients In The Spicy Citrus Fizz

*I'm not supposed to pick favorites...but Sweater Weather is my favorite tea we sell. It's great in this mocktail but it's also amazing on it's own. I love it hot on a cold day, especially if I'm feeling under the weather.

How To Make This Spicy Citrus Mocktail

  4. Add your orange juice and give it a stir.
  5. Close the top of the brewer and pour over ice into a short glass. The top will strain it, so you don't need to worry about straining it.
