Struggling to relax at night? High cortisol levels (from chronic stress) can leave you feeling wired but tired, restless before bed, unable to fall asleep, and waking up throughout the night.
That’s why we love this evening vanilla tea latte recipe. Think: calming herbal tea meets vanilla latte.
Drinking it regularly can help lower cortisol levels over time, which may lead to better sleep, more balanced energy throughout the day, fewer sugar cravings, less brain fog, and even less stubborn stress-related weight around the midsection.
Basically, it’s a delicious nighttime ritual that helps you feel better while still tasting like a treat.

When to drink it
This latte is best enjoyed in the evening while winding down for the night. We especially love it after dinner, during a cozy reading session, or while watching your favorite comfort show. Don't forget to make a cup for your partner as well!
Simple Adjustments
- Use oat milk for an extra creamy latte
- Add a sprinkle of cinnamon on top for a cozy twist
- Use less maple syrup if you prefer it lightly sweet
- Froth your milk first if you want a café-style feel at home
- Add ice if an iced latte is more your thing
FYI, the cozy mug absolutely matters here. Just stick this stainless steel infuser in your favorite mug to brew your tea, or for an easier method, just use a paper tea bag in your mug.
About the Cortisol Evening Tea
This recipe uses our Cortisol Evening Tea, which is a blend of nervine and adaptogenic herbs that nourish and calm your nervous system, support a healthy stress response, lower high cortisol levels, and ease tension in the body.
The warm vanilla and maple flavors pair perfectly with the neutral flavor of the herbs in the Cortisol Evening Tea, making it one of our favorite nighttime recipes.
Can't do ashwagandha? Swap it for The Cortisol Sleep Tea for a fruiter (and purple) but equally delicious latte.

Why a Nighttime Latte?
Creating a calming nighttime ritual can help signal to your body that it’s time to slow down. In fact, warm drinks in the evening naturally encourage relaxation by activating the parasympathetic nervous system.
