Mocktails are in...and for a good reason! They are healthier for your body and your brain and taste absolutely delicious. If you're looking for a non-alcoholic replacement for a party or social activity, or if you're looking to have something to do instead of drinking at night, give these delicious mocktail recipes a shot (pun intended)! They're fun to make and give you a fantastic healthy alternative to drinking alcohol this Dry January.
How do you get mocktails to actually taste like alcohol? Because of the astringent nature of super-brewed tea, tea mocktails can actually taste like alcohol. Along with the kick from ingredients like ginger and citrus, you'll hardly be able to tell the difference. If you're looking for a fruity cocktail replacement, you're also in the right place! Most of our recipes are loaded with fruit for extra bonus antioxidants and sweet flavor.
Here are 9 of our favorites. We hope you love them!

Citrusy Spicy Ginger Mint Spritzer
We made this recipe because we wanted a super anti-inflammatory drink that felt like a luxurious cocktail. If you're dealing with inflammation but still want to sip on a tasty, beautiful drink, this is the recipe for you.
Ingredients For The Mocktail That Actually Tastes Like Alcohol
- 1 handful of fresh mint
- 1 small lime, wedged (or 1/2 large lime)
- 1 tsp chopped fresh or crystallized ginger
- 1 cup of brewed Inflammation Relief Tea (*if you don't have it, you can use Ginger Tea)
- Sparkling water (lemon or lime preferably)
- Optional: 1-2 teaspoons sweetener of choice (if you want it to be extra anti-inflammatory, you can leave this out)
- A large glass jar
How To Make This Citrusy Spicy Ginger Spritzer
1) First, brew your Inflammation Relief Tea. Whichever method you use, our general recommendation is 1 teaspoon of tea to 1 cup water. You can use any of these methods to brew your iced tea, but we decided to use the quick and dirty method using our favorite brewer.
If you want to use the quick and dirty method, add 1 heaping teaspoon of the tea into 1 cup of hot water for 5 minutes, strain and add in ice to cool.
If you decide to use the cold brew method, add 1 heaping teaspoon Inflammation Relief tea to your teapot with strainer lid and cover with 1 cup of water. Place the fridge for at least 2 hours.
2) Next, add your limes, mint and ginger to a large glass jar (with a lid). Muddle them all until nice and smooshed! This is also where you should add your sweetener, if you choose to use it. Muddling will help release all these awesome flavors and nutrients. The aroma will blow you away!
3) Finally, add ice and your brewed tea on top of your muddled fruits, close the lid and give it a nice shake. Top with sparkling water!
You can drink it straight from the jar or you can strain and pour into a short glass, which is what we decided to do. This will make about 2 portions, so share it with a friend!
