Jiao Gu Lan leaf Tea
Jiao Gu Lan is a caffeine free herb from the cucumber family. It has many of the same chemical compounds as the more famous herb Ginseng as well as several compounds unique to itself. It is energizing and can promote lower blood sugar levels. With a short steep it is slightly sweet and grassy, the longer it steeps the more vegetal and slightly bitter the tea will become.
Brewing instructions: Jiao Gu Lan can be enjoyed throughout the day by re-steeping the leaves multiple times for brief periods. For the first cup steep one teaspoon in 8oz of hot water for 30 seconds. Re-use the same leaves and re-steep again for 30 seconds. Steep a third and fourth time for up to 60 seconds.
