Assam is a Black Tea from India's Assam region.
The flavor is bold and satisfying, excellent as a morning cup or enjoyed in the afternoon with a splash of milk and your favorite pastry.
Steep one teaspoon Assam in hot water for 1 to 3 minutes. Adjust amounts and steeping time to personal preference.
For iced tea, steep 2 Tablespoons Assam per 1 quart of water for 1 to 3 minutes. Strain, and pour over ice. Add whatever tea bling (lemon slices, honey, etc.) suits your fancy.
Assam was one of the first teas to be smuggled out of China and is named for the region in North Eastern India that it's grown in.
