Healthy rich, smooth and earthy tea
Puehr is one of those unforgettable teas that will make you want to kick yourself for not discovering it earlier. Although Puehr tea is made from the same leaves that produce Black and Green tea, it goes through a fermentation process that transforms it into something completely new and different. The flavor is rich, smooth, and earthy, with notes of dark chocolate, caramel, and not unpleasantly, mushroom. If you let the tea steep for more than 3 minutes, the color deepens to a rich dark brown. Puehr is soothing to the stomach, and according to folks in China, it might even promote normal cholesterol levels. Puehr does contain caffeine, but significantly less than coffee, and even most teas. It makes a super coffee substitute, but stands on its own as your new favorite tea ever.
This unique fermented tea is high in nutrients and antioxidants, is soothing to the stomach, and is thought to support the health of our gut flora when enjoyed regularly. In China, this tea is used to promote healthy cholesterol levels.

Brewing instructions:
Steep a teaspoon of Puerh in a cup of hot water 1 - 5 minutes. Adjust amounts and steeping times to personal preferences. Puehr is extremely robust and loaded with vitality; it can be re-steeped multiple times, so don't toss those leaves after the first cup. Keep pouring on more hot water until you've taken in all the goodness.

CAN I BREW THE TEA LEAVES MORE THAN ONCE?
Yes! In fact, we encourage steeping your tea leaves more than once to explore how our teas change each time you brew them. However, we do recommend adding another minute or two to your total steep time with every new brew.
