Slightly sweet, caffeine free South African tea
Rooibos is a type of tea that originates in South Africa, but has gained popularity around the world. Once you get past the initially awkward pronunciation ("roo-bee-ose"? "roo-ee-bose"? "roy-boss"?) you'll realize that this is a keeper, no matter how you say it. It has an antioxidant content similar to Green tea, but without any caffeine, making this drinkable any time of the day or night. Rooibos is being studied for potential anti-inflammatory benefits, which is a big perk. With its mild, somewhat sweet (not sugary) flavor, and multiple health benefits, Rooibos just might be your new fave.
Brewing instructions - steep 1 - 3 teaspoons Rooibos in 8 oz. hot water for 3 - 5 minutes. Adjust amounts and steeping times to personal preference. Sweeten and add milk or cream if that's what you're in the mood for, or drink it straight, no chaser.
