This tea recipe is a breeze to prepare, and all of the ingredients contain anti-aging and health-promoting benefits:

  • Blackberries contain huge amounts of a critical bioflavonoid that helps boost collagen production, relieve inflammation, and protect against cancer.
  • Blueberries contain the same type of bioflavonoid that blackberries have, and are also great for your eyes.
  • Pomegranates support your brain, skin, connective tissue, and heart.
  • Pineapples contain enzymes that help relieve inflammation.
  • Rosemary is an amazing antioxidant-rich herb, and is famous for its preservative properties. Rosemary stimulates circulation, which helps give  your skin a rosy glow.
  • Both thyme and oregano contain a compound called thymol, one of the most powerful antibacterial agents known, along with important antioxidants. Along with the health benefits, thyme and oregano add a fun zest to the overall flavor. 
  • Green tea and rooibos are high in antioxidants, and are anti-aging and great for keeping your skin supple and elastic. Rooibos fights inflammation, and is helpful for breakouts and eczema.

The tea is naturally sweet, but if you need an extra boost of sweetness, you can add a touch of raw honey or maple syrup while it’s still hot.

You will need:

Instructions:

Place the tea leaves in a paper tea filter or muslin cloth tea bag

Place the fruits and fresh herbs in a large mixing bowl and gently crush with a muddler or wooden spoon to release the juices.

Place the tea leaves into the pitcher (or mason jarwith the hot water, and steep. If you're using caffeine-free rooibos, allow the tea to steep for 5 to 7 minutes. If you're using green tea, remove the tea leaves after two minutes, or the tea will become bitter. Use a timer like one of these digital kitchen timers, or set the timer on your phone. 

Remove the tea leaves, and place the fruit and fresh herbs into the pitcher with the tea. Stir well.

Allow everything steep on the counter until it cools to room temperature. 

Once the tea cools off, pour it over ice and enjoy! Store any leftovers in the fridge. This will keep in the refrigerator for 24 to 48 hours. Because tea doesn't have any natural preservatives, this is best prepared fresh every other day or so.
