This smoothie recipe is loaded with ingredients that help your body fight inflammation naturally. We used Happy Place tea in this smoothie recipe, but you can substitute Inflammation Relief Tea, Turmeric Fusion, or plain green tea.
One of the most amazing anti-inflammatory fruits are blueberries, which are also great for keeping your brain healthy and your skin youthful-looking. Another important inflammation-fighting fruit is bananas. A study done at Appalachian State University in North Carolina showed that bananas are as effective as ibuprofen at reducing inflammation.
The addition of turmeric and ginger make this smoothie an inflammation-fighting powerhouse. Plus, it's yummy!

You will need:
2 cups chilled Happy Place tea (or one of the others listed above)
2 frozen bananas (we don't usually use this much banana, but if you're just starting out with healthy smoothies, you might like it better with two bananas)
2 cups frozen blueberries
2 tbsp. almond butter (you can substitute sunflower seed butter or tahini)
3 tbsp. flaxseed, ground
2 cups baby spinach
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 small 1" piece of fresh ginger root, peeled (you can substitute 1/2 teaspoon of ginger powder)
Blend all ingredients together until smooth.
Garnish with your favorite fresh berries, and ENJOY!
