According To Astrology, Here’s What To Expect In July: Your Circus, Your Monkeys

According To Astrology, Here’s What To Expect In July: Your Circus, Your Monkeys

The second half of 2018 starts off with a bang! From fireworks, that is. July also promises both a solar and a lunar eclipse, and some planetary retrograde action to make sure things stay interesting.

July 4th, Independence Day, falls in the middle of the week this year. The moon, which influences our emotions, is also in an in-between state that day, in a phase called Void Of Course, between dreamy Pisces and turbo-charged Aries. You might find yourself in an emotional “no man’s land”, or in “time outside of time” situations. Expect the unexpected. Throughout history, people celebrate in-between times by throwing Bacchanalian parties, or by using the time for magical purposes. Vision board, anyone?

Stay grounded with the rich, deep aromas of cedar, patchouli, and vetiver oils.

The following day, July 5th, Chiron goes into retrograde. You may not know this, but certain asteroids are believed to have an influence on us earthlings, and the asteroid Chiron’s influence is about healing. I’m not talking about superficial minor issues, but the real, deep, messy stuff that leads to soul growth, and healing the spirit. During Chiron retrogrades, our wounds come to the surface so that they can be healed. What might look negative on the surface will turn out to be positive in the long run.

During Chiron retrograde, your journal will be your best friend. Daily Detox tea can help clear stuck emotions as well as physical gunk.

Are you in the mood for summer romance? If you’re the type of person who always seems to swipe right on Mr. Wrong, I have good news. Venus, which rules love and relationships, enters picky, analytical Virgo on the 9th. Virgo isn't the most romantic placement for sensual Venus, but for those of us who need adult supervision when picking romantic partners, it’s a blessing. Virgo’s influence will help you to be discerning, thoughtful, and patient, rather than impulsive, excitable, and incautious. This sign will not let you ignore relationship red flags any more than you can ignore spinach between your teeth. You’re welcome, said Virgo.

Life hack #364: Clary sage essential oil will help you feel strengthened, relaxed and grounded. It’s a wonderful oil to rely on when making decisions. Inhale a drop on a tissue, or mix a single drop of clary sage into a palmful of coconut oil and dab on wrists, temples, and solar plexus.

solar eclipse

There will be both a solar eclipse and a new moon in the watery sign of Cancer on the 12th, which can stir up some intense emotions. Keep a calm head, and try not to become overwhelmed by your feelings during this time. Whenever your emotions start to take over, remember this simple piece of advice: feel the feeling, then let it run out. It will run out, if you don’t try to stop it or deny it. Feel it, then let it run out.

Make a refreshing pitcher of pure organic iced peppermint tea to provide a sense of clearheaded calm. Peppermint works wonders on your emotional and mental state.

The second retrograde of the month kicks off on Thursday the 26th. Mercury goes retrograde three times a year, and each time, like clockwork, mayhem follows. Expect a few misunderstood texts, skewed travel plans, missed appointments, and computer glitches until August 19th, when things settle back into their groove. Definitely no need to panic, just pay attention, stay focused, and don’t press “send” on ANYTHING until you are Absolutely Sure.

Stay ahead of the Mercury retrograde curve by making to-do lists, and drinking plenty of An Elephant Never Forgets tea to keep your mind sharp.

circus

The day after Mercury retrograde starts is a full moon in the fun but wacky sign of  Aquarius. But wait, on the same day, there is also a lunar eclipse! The overall energy is weirdness waiting to happen. This lands on a Friday, so if you’re planning to hit the town that night, suit up for what just might be a memorable evening.

In a nutshell, July looks like it might be a little crazy. But it will be YOUR kind of crazy, so work your circus and own your monkeys. Nobody’s life is perfect, except on Instagram, and they all secretly hate themselves. Marvelous things are born from chaos. There will be plenty of opportunities for meaningful gatherings with friends, family, and even chance meetings with intriguing strangers.

Enjoy the ride!

Why Does My Tea Taste Bitter? Here Is What You Need To Know To Avoid “Bitter Tea Face”

June 28, 2021

Did you know that green teas, black teas, white teas, oolongs, puehrs, and matcha, all come from the same plant? Even though they look different in your cup, and taste different in your mouth, the tea leaves are all harvested from the tea plant: Camellia sinensis. But no matter how the leaves are processed, they all have one thing in common: they contain tannins, the compound that can make your tea taste bitter.
