How To Earn Money Selling Tea

Now that you’re a Loose Leaf Ambassador, what’s next?

First, think about what you’re passionate about. What’s YOUR story?

  • Are you obsessed with all things tea?
  • Are you a healthy living advocate?
  • Do you love herbal remedies, aromatherapy, and other healing botanicals?
  • Have you healed yourself with plants and want to share your experiences with the world?

The best way to communicate with people is to focus on the things you personally love and can get behind, and sell the products you have gotten great results from. People will trust you if you actually use it and speak about it from experience.

Knowledge comes from the head. Experience comes from the heart.

Share what you know on social media

Your people want to hear what you have to say. Your story matters.

The people who follow you on social media do so for a reason: they want to hear what you have to say. Inspire them by sharing what you love and what you know.

  • You’re selling a lifestyle.
  • You’re promoting a healthy habit.
  • You’re championing better choices.
  • You are the face of hope and possibility.
  • You aren’t just selling tea.

Here are some creative tips to help you get started!

Use Instagram stories

The story feature is popular because the vibe relaxed, casual, and authentic. It’s a good way to start promoting products because people don’t expect stories to be polished.

If you use the story feature regularly, people will look for it. You can include your link in your stories

Make unboxing videos

People love watching videos of someone opening a box and sharing their immediate and authentic reactions.

Make short videos of how you incorporate tea into your life.

  • How do you brew it?
  • What’s your favorite accessory?
  • Where do you drink tea? At home? At the gym? At work? In line at the DMV?

Demo the “how”

  • How to brew tea
  • How long to steep tea
  • How to make cold brew
  • How to make the perfect chai

Promote the “why”

  • Why do YOU love it?
  • What has this done for you?

Now sell the “what”

  • You can include your affiliate link in your Instagram profile bio.
  • You can put your link directly in a Facebook and LinkedIn post

Tea creates friendships

Tea creates friendships and positive social experiences

Make your posts visually engaging, upbeat, and informative

  • Use photo apps to enhance your photos
  • Pay attention to the lighting. Indirect natural light is best for capturing photos.
  • Use positive and encouraging words in the accompanying text.
  • Use authentic, conversational language
  • Double check for spelling
  • Always include your affiliate link in the post, or in your bio
  • Read our blog regularly for inspiration, recipes, and to expand your knowledge
  • Post regularly and consistently. The more you post, the more tea you will sell.

Frequency and consistency is important

  • How often do you regularly post content?
  • Try to incorporate a regular posting rhythm, such as once a day, every other day, or even 3 times a week, but keep it consistent so that people get used to seeing you.
  • Respond to all comments and messages ASAP. Don’t let comments go unacknowledged.

Don't know what to post about?

Download the Repost app on your phone to share posts from Loose Leaf's Instagram. Using the Repost app is easy, and a great way to share content while also attributing the source of the content, which is always a good practice.

You can also share Loose Leaf's stories from the story feature, or from the saved Highlights.

tea for wellness

Pay attention to your senses

Promote off-line too

  • Make tea for your office and co-workers
  • Share tea socially with your family and friends

And, finally:

  • Don’t: Be too salesy!
  • Do: Follow social cues and drop it if people don’t seem interested

Loose Leaf Tea Market isn’t a MLM, so avoid using MLM sales techniques, which can turn people off. You never want to give people the impression that they can’t say no.

Remember, we are always here for you if you have questions, want a little feedback, or need support.

Cheers!
