October is my favorite month. I grew up in rural Connecticut, where October meant blue skies, colorful leaves, crisp and chilly mornings, and best of all, Halloween, which, in historic New England, is deliciously spooky.
Although Phoenix is nothing like New England, October is still pretty awesome, mostly because you can finally go outside and not feel like you’re standing inside a convection oven. It’s also pretty great because Halloween still feels a little spooky, even here in the Southwest desert.
October is magical, so I want to pass along some of my own excitement to you this month with some fun articles and tasty recipes to help you feel inspired, healthy, and energized.
Newsflash: Pumpkin Chai Spice is back and better than ever! This is our most popular tea this time of year, and it will be available until January. Be on the lookout for some new seasonal blends this month!
We’ve got some fun hands-on classes coming up this month for more ways to learn something new and meet like-minded people. You can find a list of classes with descriptions and dates here.
Finally: consider this your formal invitation to our all-day Loose Leaf Halloween party at our Town & Country location on Saturday October 28th. Local artist Paige Sullivan will be available for Tea Leaf Readings from 11 to 5. We’ll have tasty treats for anyone who shows up in costume, along with prizes for best costume.
We want to hear what YOU have to say. Do you have a success story that you’d like to share with the Loose Leaf community? Do you like what we’re posting or are there other topics you’d like us to write about? Do you have a favorite tea? Email us your feedback, suggestions, and personal success stories to firstname.lastname@example.org
Have a healthy, spooky October!
