October Greeting From Kita

October Greeting From Kita

October is my favorite month. I grew up in rural Connecticut, where October meant blue skies, colorful leaves, crisp and chilly mornings, and best of all, Halloween, which, in historic New England, is deliciously spooky.

Although Phoenix is nothing like New England, October is still pretty awesome, mostly because you can finally go outside and not feel like you’re standing inside a convection oven. It’s also pretty great because Halloween still feels a little spooky, even here in the Southwest desert.

October is magical, so I want to pass along some of my own excitement to you this month with some fun articles and tasty recipes to help you feel inspired, healthy, and energized.

Newsflash: Pumpkin Chai Spice is back and better than ever! This is our most popular tea this time of year, and it will be available until January. Be on the lookout for some new seasonal blends this month!

Finally: consider this your formal invitation to our all-day Loose Leaf Halloween party at our Town & Country location on Saturday October 28th. Local artist Paige Sullivan will be available for Tea Leaf Readings from 11 to 5. We’ll have tasty treats for anyone who shows up in costume, along with prizes for best costume.

We want to hear what YOU have to say. Do you have a success story that you’d like to share with the Loose Leaf community? Do you like what we’re posting or are there other topics you’d like us to write about? Do you have a favorite tea? Email us your feedback, suggestions, and personal success stories to info@looseleafmarket.com

Have a healthy, spooky October!

Arizona October is closer to Virginia October (my growing up/Trick or Treat years), but I do miss New England (just north of Boston) October. Did you ever make it up to Salem near Halloween? Just wanted to say thank you! I was in recently and the Sinus Relief Tea & Steam you recommended (as well as the essential oils you jump started me with) has made a huge difference! “Breathing is highly overrated” (said sarcastically to coworkers due to congestion) has become “You have to try this stuff!” (said to same coworkers since I can breathe!). The tea is very tasty, something that I can drink on a daily basis. Again, thank you for taking the time to listen and suggest something you thought might help, because it did. Very much. And without the jittery feeling I got from OTC treatments.

Is Your "Healthy" Diet Slowly Killing You? The Connection Between Inflammation And The Food You Eat

October 10, 2020

A few years ago, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. This meant that if I wanted to live an energetic and healthy life without having to rely on medications, I had to figure that how to manage inflammation naturally. Because I have a strong background in natural healing using plants and foods, I felt like this was doable. But in order to take my health seriously, I had to make some changes in my diet and lifestyle.
