For the concentrate, you will need:
- 2 cups lemon juice
- 2/3 cup lime juice
- 5 ounces fresh ginger that has been peeled and minced
- 1 1/3 cup agave nectar or maple syrup
Start by making the ginger lemonade concentrate. The recipe makes 4 cups of concentrate, and it will store in the refrigerator for about a week. If you don’t think you will use that much, cut the recipe in half.

For 4 people, steep 4 teaspoons of green tea in hot water for 1 to 2 minutes. Set a timer, because over-brewed green tea is the reason people call green tea “bitter”. Properly brewed green tea is nutty, grassy, and slightly sweet.
Strain out the tea leaves and cool the tea in the freezer for a few minutes.
To serve: blend 2 ounces of the ginger-lemon-lime concentrate and 6 ounces of green tea, and pour over ice.
