A New Year Fitness Reset

Hi folks, and Happy New Year.

I am happy to report that after a brief “vacation” from my fitness routine, I am back in the gym and eating healthy!!! I’ve been eating raw foods since the start of the New Year, and I’m starting to feel the beneficial effects.

After going through several emotionally difficult life events in the fall, I didn't care to workout at all. It was all I could do to get through the day, and I didn’t have any extra energy for anything else.

Then, the holidays hit. I felt like I was too busy for my regular workouts and, surprise, I indulged on all the holiday goodies, foods and drinks. It felt good to just relax on my diet and exercise for a while...

Does this sound familiar? Anyone? If so, you are not alone!

I took time off to grieve, and deal with my challenges, and afterward, to celebrate the holidays. I believe that we all need to be gentle with ourselves sometimes, and know when to rest and recharge.

However, it’s equally important to know when to hit the reset button and put the gas pedal to the floor. I definitely do not want my health and wellness to slip from my grasp. I want to embrace feeling healthy and vital, so I can live my best life and achieve my potential.

I want to share with you some of the things I’ve been doing to get back on track and hit the reset button on my health and energy levels. Maybe they can help you too!

At the top of my list is Sleek & Slender tea. This tea gives you energy, while supporting digestive function, boosts the metabolism and helps cut pesky cravings. I started by drinking two cups per day, 1 cup in the morning and 1 before lunch in the afternoon. Sleek & Slender got my lifestyle reset going. After the initial reset, I continue to drink 1-2 cups of this tea a day.

The other key piece that’s been helping me so much is committing to eating a raw foods diet for the month of January. I’ve been using recipes from a book called Raw Vitalize, and many of them are so tasty that my husband and son are enjoying it too! I also got back into the gym at the end of December, which is making a huge difference in how I feel.

Right now, my life is super charged, and I felt like sharing my story with you! There's no one-size-fits-all solution to health. We are all very different, but I am sharing my recipe for success, because what works for me will get you on track as well. Once you’re on a roll, you can tailor your lifestyle to work for you. After all, we’ve got to start somewhere. For me, some of the fun is creating and finding your own path to optimal health. I love testing new ways of eating and seeing how my body, mind and spirit react. I would like to share my curiosity with you this year so you can get excited about setting out on your own journey to wellness in 2018. Maybe it's your first journey, maybe your 20th or maybe you are somewhere in between. There is no wrong or right place to start...just start.  My recipe for health:  Have some fun with diet/goal setting, try new approaches, tea drink and move your body.

Wellness blessings in 2018,
Sasha Bonner
